Tortola Nature Tour
APPROXIMATE DURATION: 3.5 HOURS

First STOP - Sage Mountain National Park (approx. 1.5 hours)

Passengers are given the opportunity of exploring the Sage Mountain rain forest. There are clearly marked trails consisting of neatly laid out gravel paths which wind through the park. Mahogany, cedar, fig, cherry and manalikara trees form a lush canopy over the huge elephant ear philodendrons, hanging vines and lacy ferns. At 1,780 feet, Sage Mountain is the highest point in the B.V.I. Passengers will also have spectacular panoramic views of the Island off the north and south side of Tortola and of the shimmering Caribbean Sea.

Second STOP - Sky World (approx. 15 mins.)

Here at Sky World, passengers can enjoy a thirst quenching soft drink whilst taking in the 360 degree panoramic view of Tortola and the surrounding Virgin Islands. Passengers are welcome to view local art work displayed on walls and browse in the boutique of local crafts.

Third STOP - Botanical Gardens (approx. 1 hour)

Lastly, passengers are taken to this cool and peaceful refuge located in the center of Road Town. The 2.8 acre garden includes a lush array of indigenous and exotic tropical plants including hybrid hibiscus, orchids, palms, cacti and bromeliads. A pergola walk, lily pond, waterfall, tropical bird house and miniature rain forest are just a few of the gardens attractions. There is also a guest registry at the entrance in which passengers are welcome to write comments.
