Tortola Experience By Horseback
Once at the stables, the guide will explain the various routes to be followed and sights to see before being shown their trusty steed and then led on a unique journey by horseback either to the rain forest to Sage Mountain National Park or to a stunning local beach. Tour A. Passengers are led along the gently winding road of Chalwell to the beautifully preserved sanctuary of Sage Mountain National Park, 1780 feet above sea level. This natural rain forest has several easily rideable trails which give passengers the chance to enjoy the cedar and mahogany forests set amongst lush tropical vegeataion. They will also be delighted by the unsurpassed views of the surrounding Virgin Islands before returning to the stables. Tour B. Passengers are again led along the shady Chalwell road towards Sage Mountain but rather than entering the park itself, take the sloping descent of Windy Hill road to reach the north side of Tortola. From here passengers ride the pretty flat coastal road with stunning beaches to the left until arriving at Cane Garden Bay for a exhilerating ride on the beach (approx. 40 mins) before heading back up to the stables. |
